Psychosocial support for clients to cope with the role of the mother in the diagnostic institute

Abstract:

Absolventská práce se zaměřuje na psychosociální podporu klientek ve zvládání role matky. Převážná část klientek přichází do diagnostického ústavu z prostředí, které nebylo schopno plnit rodinné funkce a zajistit klientkám řádný vývoj. Předpoklad je tedy takový, že tyto dívky nemají jinou podporu, která by jim mohla pomoci v náročné životní situaci jakou je těhotenství a mateřství než podporu poskytovanou v daném zařízení. V teoretické části práce jsou nejprve popsány pojmy, které čtenáři pomohou se zorientovat ve zkoumané problematice. Metodologická část práce se věnuje podobě podpory nezletilých matek, ovlivňujícím faktorům a rizikům podpory a také následné péči o klientky. Pro výzkum byla zvolena metoda polostrukturovaných rozhovorů a jejich následná analýza. Práce přináší výzvu pro sociální práci s nezletilými matkami v náhradní výchovné péči.

Abstract:

The thesis focuses on the psychosocial support of clients in their ability to appropriately cope with their role of a mother. The majority of the clients come to the diagnostic institute from such environment, where the role of parents was insufficient, and thus unable to ensure and provide the clients an appropriate development. Therefore, it is assumed that these clients do not possess any other support in coping with a life situation as difficult as pregnancy and motherhood, than that of the one provided in an institute. First, the theoretical part describes the concepts that will help the audience to become familiar with the topic. Second, the methodological part of the thesis deals with the form of support provided to minor mothers, influential factors, and the risks of support as well as the subsequent client care. Furthermore, the method of semi-structured interviews and their following analysis was chosen for the research. Last, the thesis challenges the social work with minor mothers in institutional childcare.
