Displacement of the German population from district Decin and subsequent resettlement with Czech population

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá před a poválečnou situací na Děčínsku, kdy se děčínský okres, který obývalo jen necelých 8 % obyvatel s československou národností, během několika poválečných let díky odsunu německého obyvatelstva a příchodu nových obyvatel zejména z českého vnitrozemí, ale též příchodem českých reemigrantů, změnil v oblast, kde se obyvatelstvo s německou národností stalo jen nepatrnou minoritou. V bakalářské práci je nastíněn vývoj česko-německých vztahů a proměna veřejné správy v pohraničí po jeho připojení k Třetí říši. Práce dále popisuje průběh samotného odsunu německého obyvatelstva z Děčínska a zabývá se problematikou následného dosídlení Děčínska českým, respektive slovanským obyvatelstvem.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with the situation of the region of Decin before and after the World War II (W.W.II). Before the W.W.II in this part of the country there were living only about 8% inhabitants of the czechoslovak nacionality. After the German people of our borderland had been forced to leave their homeland after the W.W.II, Czech and Slovak people and even Czech reemigrants from abroad came to inhabit this region. That means, the situation changed, so that for the time being there is left only a small minority of German inhabitants there. In this thesis I also try to describe the developement of Czech ? German relations and change of the municipal administration after the annexation of our borderland to Germany. This thesis also describes the course of the expulsion of the Germans after the W.W.II from this region and the problems of settlement of Czech resp. Slavic newcomers to this district.
