This Master’s diploma thesis is dealing with the works of two American nineteenth century writers, Edgar Allan Poe and George Lippard. The works are Poe’s “Metzengerstein,” “King Pest the First” and Lippard’s novel The Quaker City, or The Monks of Monk Hall.
