Use of self-experience training in SUR in therapeutic practice of its graduates

Abstract:

Tato kvalitativní studie se zaměřuje na téma využití sebezkušenostního výcviku v systému SUR v terapeutické práci jeho absolventů. Práce zkoumá vnímané přínosy výcviku do terapeutické praxe z pohledu jeho absolventů a také co terapeuti ve výcviku postrádali pro vykonávání své profese. Metodou tematické analýzy byly analyzovány polostrukturované rozhovory se 13 respondenty. Terapeuti vnímali přínos sebezkušenostního výcviku do své terapeutické práce v osobnostním růstu, který probíhá skrze sebepoznání, obohacení o životní zkušenosti druhých a změnu pohledu na druhé lidi a v profesním růstu, který probíhá skrze kultivaci přístupu ke klientům, porozumění procesu terapie, získání kompetencí pro vedení skupinové terapie, napodobování výcvikových lektorů a inspiraci různými psychoterapeutickými přístupy a technikami. Terapeutům ve výcviku scházely nástroje pro terapeutickou práci a praktické nácviky terapeutických dovedností. Výsledky jsou srovnávány se zjištěními studií zkoumajícími vliv psychoterapeutických výcviků a osobní terapie na vývoj terapeutů.

Abstract:

This qualitative study focuses on the use of self-experience training in SUR in therapeutic practice of its graduates. The thesis investigates perceived benefits of training to therapeutic practice from the perspective of its graduates and what therapists missed in training for performing their own profession. Semi-structured interviews with thirteen participants were analysed using the method of thematic analysis. Therapists perceived benefits of self-experience training to their therapeutic work in the personal growth which is happening through self-knowledge, enrichment by life experiences of others and changing attitudes to other people and professional growth which is happening through cultivation of approach to clients, understanding the process of therapy, acquisition of competencies for management of group therapy, imitate the trainers and inspiration by different psychotherapeutic approaches and techniques. Therapists in training missed tools for therapeutic work and practical training of therapeutic skills. Results are compared with the findings of studies that have examined the impact of psychotherapy training and personal therapy on therapists’ development.
