Abstract:

Tato práce se zabývá problematikou plýtvání potravinami, hlavním cílem je identifikace příčin, důsledků této problematiky a rovněž navržení řešení na spotřebitelské úrovni, jelikož právě na této úrovni dochází k největšímu plýtvání ze všech fází potravinového řetězce. V první části práce byly v rámci provedené literární rešerše definovány klíčové pojmy této problematiky, popsána současná situace a rovněž nákupní a spotřebitelské chování. Na základě dat získaných z provedeného dotazníkového šetření v druhé části práce byla navržena možná řešení a doporučení, která by pomohla této problematice přecházet a zmírnit tak míru vyplýtvaných potravin v domácnostech.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with the current issue of food waste, the aim of this paper is to identify the causes and consequences of this problem and also to propose solutions at the consumer level, as this is the level where the greatest amount of food waste occurs compared to the other stages of the food supply chain. In the first part of this paper, a literature review was carried out to define the key terminology related to this issue, the current situation with food waste as well as shopping and consumer behaviour were described. Based on the data obtained from the questionnaire survey conducted in the second part of the paper, possible solutions and recommendations to prevent food waste and to reduce the amount of food wasted in households were suggested.
