Selfdefense and Selected Instinctive Defense Reaction

Abstract:

Tématem rigorózní práce jsou vybrané instinktivní obranné reakce jako součást současné výuky sebeobrany. Cílem práce je poukázat na historické souvislosti využívání vědeckých poznatků ve výuce sebeobrany v České republice. V empirické části je cílem ověření přítomnosti vybraných instinktivních obranných reakcí v reálných sebeobranných situacích. Pro ověření byly zvoleny metody analýzy a syntézy videozáznamů, které zachycující reálné situace, kdy byly osoby vystaveny hrozbě ohrožení života anebo zdraví. Analýzou empirických dat bylo zjištěno, že v situacích, kdy jsou osoby vystaveny hrozbě ohrožení života anebo zdraví, se u nich za určitých podmínek objevují specifické obranné reakce. Tyto reakce je možné využít při výuce sebeobrany stejným nebo podobným způsobem, jak to jíž provádějí někteří zahraniční instruktoři a učitelé. Přínos práce je spatřován v ověření přítomnosti specifických instinktivních rekcí a taky jejich oprávněnosti v současných metodikách sebeobrany. Práce také poukázala na některé bližší podoby zkoumaných reakcí, podmínek spouštění a vzájemného prolínání. Zároveň tato práce otevírá další témata vhodná pro vědecké rozpracování, jako hlubší a širší zkoumání obranných reakcí a jejich následné zapracování do psychologicko- technicko-taktické přípravy.

Abstract:

Scope of my thesis are pre-selected defense reactions built on very human instinct based reactions. These reactions are part of self defense instruction in nowadays. Goal of the thesis is to point out historical dependencies of usage scientific knowledge and related findings in teaching of self defense in Czech Republic. Empirical part is focused on verification of pre-selected defense reactions in real self defense situations. As verification method was used combination of analyses and authentic video records capturing real situations where person was exposed to life threatening danger. By analyses of empirical data there were identified specific defense reactions in situation of life threatening danger. These reactions can be integrated during self defense teaching in a similar way like are already taught by foreign instructors and teachers. Benefit of my thesis is verification of existence of specific instinct based reactions hence there is solid justification to effectively use them in self defense methodologies nowadays. The thesis brought to public attention selected reactions that are being further analyzed as well as the conditions of their execution and their mutual overlap. At the same time the thesis is opening other topics that can be used for further scientific research of human defense reactions and their integration into psychological- technical-tactical preparation.
