Abstract:

The thesis deals with the Assessment of the Financial Position and Performance of a Chosen Company in the Automotive Industry. By examining Stellantis N.V.'s financial statements over a chosen time period (2021-2023) and paying particular attention to the representation and variations in assets, equity, liabilities, revenues, earnings, and cash flow, it assesses the company's financial health. Key financial risks and industry issues influencing the company's success are also identified in the report. Key financial ratios and the interpretation of financial statements are among the basic ideas of financial analysis that are covered in the theoretical section. It also looks at external factors that affect the automobile industry, like shifting regulations, heightened competition, and the shift to electric vehicles. Using information from the income statement and balance sheet, together with liquidity, solvency, and profitability measures, the practical section evaluates Stellantis N.V.'s financial status. The study emphasises the company's strong points, such as its consistent solvency ratios, strong liquidity, and positive working capital. Despite minor declines in cash reserves and the quick ratio, which are more indicative of strategic investments than of financial crisis, the statistics demonstrate that Stellantis N.V. maintains a healthy financial position. In the face of industry issues including supply chain interruptions and growing competition from up-and-coming electric vehicle manufacturers, the company exhibits resilience through steady operating cash flows and a forward-thinking growth plan.
