Design of Control System for 3-axis Manipulator used for Automated Testing of Control Units

Abstract:

Cílem této práce je na základě mechanické konstrukce zmapovat způsoby řízení pohonů pro manipulátor určený k testování řídících jednotek a vybraný způsob řízení zrealizovat. Pro dané řízení dále vytvořit rozhraní pro manuální obsluhu i pro možnost ovládání z nástrojů pro automatizaci testování. Porovnat možnosti testování manipulátorem s testovacím stavem na bázi robotického stavu s průmyslovým robotem UR5 a zhodnotit dosažené vlastnosti manipulátoru. Na základě mechanické konstrukce byly zvoleny vhodné komponenty a řízení s ohledem na to, že se jednalo o nízkonákladové řešení pro automatizované testování a prezentaci zákazníkům. Ve vývojovém prostředí LabVIEW byla vytvořena aplikace, která slouží jako uživatelské rozhraní a také k zpracování pokynů z nástrojů pro automatizované testování.

Abstract:

The objectives of this thesis are to survey components and controllers for the drives control of a manipulator and to choose the best drive control solution for the given mechanical construction of a manipulator designed for the front panel stimulation of an electronic control unit. For this control solution an interface for manual operation as well as for remote control from test automation tools. The manipulator features and performance has to be evaluated and compared to the test bench based on the industrial robot UR5. Based on the mechanical design components and control system were chosen. The fact that it is a low cost solution for automated testing and for presentation to customers was kept in mind. The control application including user interface and also interface to process instructions from automated testing tools was developed in the LabVIEW development environment.
