Waste management in Nordic countries

Abstract:

Cílem této bakalářské práce bylo poukázat na odpadové hospodářství ve státech severní Evropy, zejména implementaci přístupu v praxi, porovnání a celkové posouzení v jednotlivých státech Severského regionu. Jednotlivé typy odpadu a nakládání s nimi byly popsány v úvodu práce, pro lepší pochopení celé problematiky. Po implementaci v praxi lze obecně zhodnotit, že odpad není v našem zájmovém území chápán jako odpad, ale jako cenný zdroj. O tom svědčí i jejich způsoby zacházení a budoucí upotřebení. Zkoumané severské země postupují v souladu s národními i nadnárodními strategiemi, s výjimkou Islandu. Z celkového zhodnocení bakalářské práce lze říct, že státy se snaží žít v souladu s ŽP.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis aimed to reflect on the waste management of the countries in Northern Europe, particularly, to assess the implementation of the approach in the practice, comparison, and the overall evaluation of the waste management in particular countries of the Northern region. For a better understanding of the studied issue, individual types of waste and their usage were described at the beginning of the thesis. After implementation in the practice, it can be argued that waste is not understood in our territory of interest as waste in common sense but as a valuable resource. This is confirmed by the way of handling and future utilization. All studied northern countries proceed in accordance with the national and international strategies except Iceland. Thus, it can be concluded that the environmental considerations are taken into an account by the countries in Northern Europe.
