Project to Improve the Recruitment and Adaptation Process in a Selected Company

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zaměřuje na problematiku příjmu a adaptace ve vybrané firmě. Cílem této diplomové práce je popsat a vyhodnotit současný stav příjmu a adaptace nových zaměstnanců ve firmě, identifikovat nedostatky a navrhnout opatření pro jejich nápravu. Práce je rozdělená na dvě části, a to teoretickou a praktickou. Teoretická část obsahuje rešerši odborné literatury na téma přijímání a adaptace nových zaměstnanců. Následně jsou formulovány výzkumné otázky zaměřené na současný stav příjmu a adaptace ve vybrané organizaci. V praktické části je představena organizace. Dále je popsán a vyhodnocen současný stav příjmu a adaptace zaměstnanců v této organizaci, přičemž pro sběr dat bylo využito polostrukturovaných rozhovorů. Následně byla provedena analýza těchto rozhovorů a analýza vnitrofiremní dokumentace. Poskytnuté rozhovory a vnitrofiremní dokumentace, společně s poznatky z odborné literatury, posloužily jako podklad pro vyhodnocení současného stavu příjmu a adaptace zaměstnanců a následnou identifikaci nedostatků. Na základě těchto nedostatků byl navržen projekt pro zlepšení příjmu a adaptace zaměstnanců v organizaci. V rámci návrhu projektu byla také zpracována časová, nákladová a riziková analýza. Jedním z limitů této práce může být to, že ačkoliv byly rozhovory provedeny s vrchní sestrou, HR specialistkou, ředitelem organizace a třemi novými zaměstnanci, kteří absolvovali adaptaci v posledních 12 měsících, tak by výsledek mohl být ovlivněn tím, že nebyl proveden s dalšími účastníky adaptačního procesu zaměstnanců, kterými jsou například staniční sestry či školící sestry a ošetřovatelky. Dalším limitem pak může být nedostatečná poskytnutá dokumentace ze strany organizace.

Abstract:

This thesis focuses on the issue of recruitment and adaptation in a selected company. The aim of this thesis is to describe and evaluate the current state of recruitment and adaptation of new employees in the company, to identify the shortcomings and to propose measures for their correction. The thesis is divided into two parts, namely theoretical and practical. The theoretical part includes a literature search on the topic of recruitment and adaptation of new employees. Subsequently, research questions are formulated focusing on the current state of recruitment and adaptation in the selected organization. In the practical part, the organization is introduced. Furthermore, the current status of recruitment and adaptation in this organization is described and evaluated using semi-structured interviews for data collection. Subsequently, an analysis of these interviews and an analysis of company documentation was conducted. The interviews and company documentation provided, together with findings from the literature, served as a basis for assessing the current state of employee recruitment and adaptation and subsequently identifying gaps. Based on these gaps, a project was designed to improve employee recruitment and adaptation in the organization. A time, cost and risk analysis was also prepared as part of the project design. One limitation of this work may be that although interviews were conducted with the head nurse, the HR specialist, the director of the organisation and three new staff members who had undergone adaptation in the last 12 months, the outcome could have been affected by not interviewing other participants in the staff adaptation process, which include department nurses or training nurses. Another limitation could then be the lack of documentation provided by the organisation.
