Honeybee belongs to economically and agriculturally most-important insects. It is involved in pollination of 84% of agricultural crops in Europe and in the world as well. Včela medonosná patrí medzi ekonomicky a hospodársky najvýznamnejší hmyz. Podieľa sa na opeľovaní 84% poľnohospodárskych plodín v Európe a podobne tomu je aj vo svete. Výrazné úbytky tohto opeľovača ohrozujú stabilitu nielen potravinárskeho, ale aj kozmetického a farmaceutického priemyslu.
