Bakalářská práce je věnovaná Jakubu Arbesovi a literárnímu žánru romaneto, které je pro něj typické. Dalo by se říci, že romaneto v české literatuře je hlavně dílem Arbesovým. Práce obsahuje autorův stručný životopis, pojednává o jeho osobním životě, žurnalistické a literární činnosti. Zabývá se obecnou charakteristikou literární postavy. This undergraduate thesis deals with Jakub Arbes and romaneto as a literary genre that is typical for him. It could be said that romaneto in Czech literature is mainly the work of Jakub Arbes. The thesis contains a brief biography of the author, discusses his personal life, journalistic and literary activities. It deals with the general characteristics of literary figures.
