Specifika Investic Formou Soukromého Kapitálu

Abstract:

Finanční trhy hrají významnou roli ve formování moderní ekonomiky. Usnadňují tok kapitálu a pohánějí ekonomický růst. V rámci těchto trhů se jako dynamický a vlivný sektor vymezuje soukromý kapitál. Tato práce si klade za cíl prozkoumat specifika těchto investic, a to na příkladu skutečné akvizice. Konkrétně bude analyzována akvizice společnosti Hilton Hotels skupinou Blackstone z roku 2007, jedna z nejvýznamnějších transakcí formou soukromého kapitálu v hotelnictví. Tato akvizice demonstruje specifické strategické a operativní faktory typické pro úspěch těchto transakcí. Pro posílení této analýzy jsou zjištění diskutována s odborníkem, což poskytne hlubší porozumění kontextuálním prvkům, které přispívají k efektivnosti tohoto typu investic.

Abstract:

Financial markets are an important factor in shaping the landscape of modern economies, facilitating the flow of capital and driving economic growth. Within these markets, private equity stands out as a dynamic and influential sector. This thesis aims to explore the specifics of private equity investments, using a real-life acquisition as a case study. Specifically, it will analyze The Blackstone Group’s 2007 acquisition of Hilton Hotels, one of the most notable and significant leveraged buyouts in the hospitality industry to date. This acquisition showcases specific strategic and operational factors that are typical for the success of private equity deals. To enhance this analysis, findings are discussed with an industry expert, providing a deeper understanding of the contextual and tactical elements that contribute to the efficiency of such investments.
