The idea of gender theory about raising of children in a kindergarten

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce s názvem "Představa teorie genderu o výchově dětí" se zabývá ideologií genderu v mateřských školách. Hlavním cílem mého výzkumu je zjistit, zda se promítají tlaky na změnu genderového přístupu k dětem do názorů pedagogického personálu mateřské školy a zjistit, zdali v mateřských školách přetrvávají tendence podporovat genderové stereotypy. Teoretická část práce seznamuje například s pojmy gender, genderová role a identita, maskulinita a femininita, genderové stereotypy, gender-mainstreaming, genderová rovnost a citlivá pedagogika. Také se zabývá genderem v předškolním věku, samotnou mateřskou školou i osobností učitele mateřské školy. Praktická část byla věnována výzkumu, který byl realizován formou dotazníkového šetření jak v soukromých, tak i státních mateřských školách Moravskoslezského kraje.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis, entitled "The idea of gender theory about raising of children" deals with the ideology of gender in kindergartens. The main goal of my research is to find out whether the pressures to change the gender approach to children are reflected in the opinions of kindergarten pedagogical staff and to find out whether there is a tendency in kindergartens to promote gender stereotypes. The theoretical part of the thesis introduces the concepts of gender, gender role and identity, masculinity and femininity, gender stereotypes, gender mainstreaming, gender equality and sensitive pedagogy. It also deals with gender in preschool age, the kindergarten itself and the personality of the kindergarten teacher. The practical part was devoted to research, which was carried out in the form of a questionnaire survey in both private and state kindergartens in the Moravian-Silesian region.
