Inventory management in the company

Abstract:

The subject of this thesis is the analysis of inventory management, monitoring the state of stocks, storage and other activities related to stocks. The object of the analysis is a company operating in Slovakia, whose main activity is the production of specialized wooden packaging and packaging solutions. The theoretical part of the thesis deals with the definition of important concepts related to the issue of inventory management, their division, costs associated with them, the main indi-cator, inventory planning, optimal inventory levels, purchasing activity, warehousing, suppliers, and inventory records. The practical part is focused on the analysis of situations in the company within the supply based on interviews, observations, or analysis of indicators. Finally, the problem areas and the following solutions to minimize or eliminate them are analysed.

Abstract:

Predmetom diplomovej práce je analýza riadenia zásob, sledovania stavu zásob, skladovania a ostatných činností spojených so zásobami. Objektom analýzy je spoločnosť pôsobiaca na Slovensku, ktorej hlavnou činnosťou je výroba špecializovaných drevených obalov a obalových riešení. Teoretická časť práce sa venuje vymedzeniu dôležitých pojmov súvisiacich s problematikou riadenia zásob, ich členeniu, nákladom s nimi spojenými, hlavným ukazovateľom, plánovaniu zásob, optimálnej výške zásob, nákupnej činnosti, skladovaniu, dodávateľom a evidencii zásob. Praktická časť je zameraná na analýzu situácie v podniku v rámci zásobovania na základe rozhovoru, pozorovania, či analýze ukazovateľov. Na záver sú analyzované problémové oblasti a navrhnuté riešenia na ich minimalizáciu, či elimináciu.
