Space and Literature - The region of Jesenicko in Czech literature in second half of the XX. century

Abstract:

Disertační práce si klade za cíl prozkoumat dílčí aspekty uvnitř literatury pojící se k literárnímu regionu Jesenicka. Náš zájem se soustředí na oblast české literatury po roce 1945. Vybrali jsme autory a texty, které zásadním způsobem překračují hranici literatury spjatou s nějakým územím. Naší ambicí je ptát se po strukturních rysech, modalitách, které na jedné straně formují způsob vyprávění, ale na straně druhé také mohou strhávat čtenářskou pozornost na specifické otázky vztahů mezi člověkem a krajinou. Zajímají nás také způsoby práce s pamětí a zachycení válečných a poválečných traumat z Jesenicka v české literatuře. Pokud jde o skladbu autorů, je jejich výběr motivován synekdochicky: chce představit jak specifické autorské poetiky a perspektivy, tak také způsoby, jimiž se pak obecněji dá přistupovat k analýze podobných literárních textů.

Abstract:

The aim of this dissertation is to examine partial aspects of the literature connected with Jeseníky region. We focus on Czech literature after the year 1945. We chose authors and texts that fundamentally extend beyond the literature connected with some area. Our primary aim is to ask about structural features, modalities, which form the way of narration on one hand, and which also make a reader to ask about relations between a human and region on the other. We are also interested in memories and depiction of war and post-war traumas from Jeseníky in Czech literature. As for the choice of authors, we want to introduce not only author's specifics and perspective, but also ways by which similar literary texts can be analyzed more generally.
