Abstract:

Cílem práce bylo zjistit, jaká je životní situace lidí s estetickým postižením ve vztahu k jejich roli na trhu práce. První část je věnována vysvětlení pojmů „životní situace“, „sociální fungování“ a „životní situace lidí s estetickým postižením v souvislosti s jejich rolí na trhu práce“. Faktory, které mohou ovlivňovat životní situaci esteticky postižených lidí v souvislosti s jejich rolí na trhu práce a kterými jsem se v této práci zabývala, jsou: vlastnosti esteticky postiženého jedince, očekávání, která vůči esteticky postiženému jedinci uplatňují subjekty v jeho sociálním prostředí, podpora, kterou tyto subjekty esteticky postiženému jedinci poskytují, případně neposkytují, a interakce mezi očekáváním těchto subjektů a schopností esteticky postiženého jedince tato očekávání zvládat. Jako výzkumnou metodu jsem zvolila kvalitativní šetření pomocí rozhovoru s návodem a introspekci. Výzkumný vzorek tvořilo osm esteticky postižených lidí. Šetřením bylo zjištěno, že životní situaci esteticky postižených lidí v souvislosti s jejich rolí na trhu práce ovlivňují zejména charakteristiky (vlastnosti) těchto lidí, kterými jsou psychický stav, míra přijetí vlastního postižení, úroveň sociálních dovedností, kariérní aspirace a esteticky postiženými lidmi očekávané předsudečné a stereotypní myšlení majoritní společnosti. Vyslovené požadavky (očekávání) sociálního okolí a institucionální podpora se ukázaly být nevýznamnými faktory. V závěru práce je připojeno doporučení pro další výzkum předmětného tématu. Celkový rozsah práce je 22 335 slov.

Abstract:

The object of the present study was an analysis of the life situation of the facially disfigured people related to their role on a labour market. The first part explains the terminology of the life situation, the social functioning, and the life situation of facially disfigured people related to their role on a labour market. The behavioural factors related to the role of the facially disfigured people on a labour market which may influence their life situation and which are the subject of the present study are: the characteristics of the facially disfigured people; the expectations which the subjects of its social environment assert; the support for facially disfigured people which is or is not provided by those subjects; the interactions between the expectations of those subjects and the capabilities of the facially disfigured people to manage these expectations. The base of the qualitative research was formed by interviews with manual and introspection. The research sample consisted of eight facially disfigured people. The analysis have found that the life situation of the facially disfigured people related to their role on a labour market is influenced especially by the characteristics of those people. Those characteristics are: psychological condition; level of acceptance of the disfigurement; level of developed social skills; career aspirations, and the expectation of biased and stereotypical judgements by the majority of society towards people with facial disfigurement. Expressed expectations of social environment and institutionalized support have proved to be irrelevant factors in this study. The conclusion part includes suggestions for further research on this topic. The length of the study is 22 335 words.
