Abstract:

V této rešeršní bakalářské práci se zabývám strigolaktony (SLs), již desetiletí známou skupinou látek ovlivňujících klíčení parazitických rostlin, u nichž byly v posledním desetiletí nově objeveny dvě nové fyziologické funkce, a to stimulace větvení arbuskulárních mykorhizních hub a inhibice větvení prýtu rostlin. V práci uvádím kromě jejich struktury a biosyntézy i všechny tři tyto biologické efekty SLs. V části věnované efektu stimulace klíčení parazitických rostlin mimo jiné zmiňuji v současnosti studované možnosti potlačení tohoto negativního efektu SLs. V části věnované stimulaci arbuskulární mykorhize zdůvodňuji, proč byla dříve předpokládaná nezbytná přítomnost SLs v rozvoji tohoto typu symbiózy vyvrácena. V části věnované roli SLs jakožto fytohormonu, který v kooperaci s auxiny a cytokininy ovlivňuje větvení prýtu, jsou vysvětleny oba základní modely jejich účinku, tedy model sekundárního messengeru a kanalizační model.

Abstract:

In this review bachelor’s thesis I am dealing with strigolactones (SLs), a group of compounds known for a decades due to their effects on germination of parasitic plants. However, two novel functions, stimulation of arbuscular mycorrhiza development and inhibition of shoot branching, have been identified over the last decade. All these three effects are presented in this thesis, as well as the structure and biosynthesis of SLs.In the part devoted to the stimulation of parasitic plants germination, I mention also recently developed approaches suppressing this undesirable effect. As regard the stimulation of arbuscular mycorrhiza formation, I explain why previously considered indispensable role of SLs has been disproved. In the chapters describing the role of SLs as a growth regulator co-operating with auxins and cytokinins in shoot branching regulation, both the main hypothesis about their mode of action are presented, i.e., model of secondary messenger and canalization model.
