Za cíl této bakalářské práce byla zvolena analýza novely Julia Zeyera Dům "U tonoucí hvězdy". Věnujeme se procesu geneze knihy v jejím širším literárně-historickém kontextu. Zabýváme se rovněž poetikou autora, charakteristikou postav, použitými tématy a motivy. Popsán byl také Zeyerův osobitý přístup ke stylizaci prvků náboženství. The target of this bachelor thesis is analysis of Julius Zeyer´s novella House of The Drowning Star. Our attention is dedicated to the process of genesis of the book in its broader literary-historical context.
