The History of one Class

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce je koncipována jako analytická studie ze života jedné třídy větší plně organizované sídlištní školy v Brně v průběhu prvních pěti let povinné školní docházky (1. stupeň ZŠ). Cílem bylo zmapovat především osobnostní, sociální, hodnotový a kognitivní vývoj dětí a celé třídy s využitím diagnostických nástrojů, které jsem v průběhu vlastního studia a pětiletého soužití s třídou měla k dispozici, s poradním hlasem jejich třídní učitelky, která po celou dobu naši součinnost sledovala a komentovala. V teoretické části vymezujeme základní pojmy a teorie k vývoji dětí mladšího školního věku, definujeme pojmy jako klima třídy, typy žáků a jejich styly učení, osobnost učitele a jeho pojetí výuky, výukové metody i strategie řízení třídy a věnujeme se i problematice sociálních vztahů a interakcí. V praktické části charakterizujeme zkoumanou skupinu/třídu a pětiletý průběh jejího života, čímž diagnosticky informujeme o prostředí, cílech, aktivitách a výsledcích, ve kterých se naše výzkumy uskutečnily.

Abstract:

This thesis is conceived as an analytical study of the life of one class in a fully organized housing estate school in Brno during the first five years of compulsory education (lower primary school). The aim was primarily to map personal, social, cognitive development and development of values of children and the whole class, using the diagnostic tools that I had available in the course of the five-year study and coexistence with the class, with advice from their class teacher, who watched and commented throughout our cooperation. In the theoretical part we define basic terms and theories concerning the development of children of early school age, we define concepts such as class environment, type of students and their learning styles, the teacher's personality and his approach to teaching, teaching methods and classroom management strategies, and we also address the issues of social relations and interactions. In the practical part we portray the study group/the class and five-year course of its life, thereby informing about the environment in which our research took place.
