The possibility of using the Snoezelen concept in a regular kindergarten

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá možností využití konceptu Snoezelen v běžné mateřské škole s ohledem na edukaci dětí se speciálnímu vzdělávacími potřebami. Dělí se na část teoretickou a výzkumnou. Část teoretická obsahuje dvě kapitoly, zabývající se vymezením potřebné terminologie, charakteristikou dítěte předškolního věku, dítěte se syndromem ADD/ADHD, dále se zaobírá předškolním vzděláváním. V druhé kapitole se zabývá Snoezelen prostředím a celkovým pojetím tohoto konceptu. Cílem této práce bylo prokázat, zda je koncept Snoezelen dostatečně využitelný v mateřské škole a také, zda je přínosný pro děti se syndromem ADD/ADHD. V praktické části byla použita metoda kvalitativního výzkumu. Práce může být pomůckou pro zřizování nových Snoezelen místností v mateřských školách, či jako porovnání metod práce pro školy, kde se již tento koncept využívá.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis deals with a possibility of using the concept of Snoezelen in the regular kindergarten with regard to children with special educational needs. The thesis is divided into the theoretical part and practical part. The theoretical part contains of two chapters which deal with the terminology, and preschool child´s characteristic as well as the characteristic of a child with ADHD /ADD. They also pursue preschool education. In the second chapter the thesis deals with Snoezelen environment and the approach to this concept. The goal of the bachelor thesis is to prove that the concept of Snoezelen can be sufficiently applied in the kindergartens, and also to prove that this concept is beneficial for children with ADHD/ADD disorder. The method of qualitative research is used in the practical part of the thesis. The bachelor thesis can be an aid for founding new Snoezelen rooms in the kindergartens or an aid for the comparison of the methods for schools where the concept of Snoezelen has been already applied.
