Position of single mothers on the labour market

Abstract:

Diplomová práce pojednává o okolnostech, za kterých se žena stane matkou samoživitelkou. Je v ní uvedeno jaký má tento sociální status dopad na chod rodiny a její ekonomickou situaci, nedůležitější faktory ovlivňující složitou situaci samoživitelek a jak náročné je pro matku samoživitelku sladit rodinný a pracovní život. Bude se možné dočíst, jak těžký je pro samoživitelku návrat na trh práce, ochota zaměstnavatelů vyjít jí vstříc a budou uvedeny možnosti a cesty, které může rodič v této nelehké životní situaci využít. V práci bude uvedena i sociálně-ekonomická situace matky, systém státní sociální podpory, způsob jakým funguje, sociální dávky a pomoc, které může matka samoživitelka v její tíživé situaci využít a podmínky pro jejich čerpání. Závěrem práce bude kvantitativní výzkumné šetření, které bylo realizováno formou dotazníku, kde byly zjišťovány aspekty týkajících se zaměstnání sólo rodiče a z toho vyplývající výše životní úrovně.

Abstract:

This dissertation (diploma theses) deals with the circumstances under which a woman becomes a single parent. It describes the influence which this social status has on her everyday family life and her economic situation. In addition, the most important factors affecting the difficult situation of single parents and how demanding it is for them to balance their family and working life. It also describes how difficult it is for them to return to the labour market or to find understanding from their employers. It shows possible ways that can be used in this tough situation. This theses presents the system of social welfare, the way how it works, and also social security benefits and help which are available and conditions for their drawing. In conclusion, this work presents a quantitative research work, based on a questionnaire method, in which various aspects concerning jobs of single parents and consequently their standard of living were determined.
