Land grabbing of agricultural land and the economic impact affecting the loss of productive land use

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou záboru zemědělských půd s jejich možným dopadem na produkční potenciál území. V literární přehledu je detailně popsaná problematika týkající se degradace půdy, trhu s půdou, stavem a úlohou rostlinné produkce v České republice. Praktická část je věnována analýze krajinných změn ve vybraných časových horizontech, analýze rozvoje zastavitelných ploch a stanovením potenciálních výnosu zemědělských plodin. V rámci práce bylo detailně řešeno vybrané území Dolních Heršpic, které se nacházejí na okraji města Brna a náleží do jedné z jeho městských částí Brno-Jih. K vypracování toho díla byla použita statistická data poskytnuta Českým statistickým úřadem a Státním zemědělským intervenčním fondem, dále digitální rastrová a vektorová data, historické mapové snímky a data územního plánu. V průběhu této práce byly získány zajímavé výsledky o plošném rozsahu zastavěných ploch od roku 1824 do současné doby. Došlo k nárůstu zastavěných ploch celkově o 148,79 ha. Celkem je nyní zastavěno 50,24 % z celkové rozlohy území Dolních Heršpic (312,60 ha). Dále byly vypočteny výnosy stanovených zemědělských plodin (od roku 1950 až do současnosti), kdy jejich produkce mohla dosáhnout celkové výše cca 41 tis. tun a jejich následné možné tržby mohly činit cca 126,4 mil. Kč.Díky této práci bylo zjištěno, že většina zabraného území tvoří ty nejúrodnější a nejkvalitnější půdy z celého území České republiky. V závěrečné části výsledků práce, je tedy také znázorněn možný návrh řešení situování záborů do méně produkčních oblastí.

Abstract:

Diploma thesis focusing on the issue of land grabbing, with a possible impact on the production potential of the area. The literature describes in detail the issues related to soil degradation, the soil market and plant production in the Czech Republic. The practical part is an analysis of landscape changes in selected time horizons, an analysis of the growth of buildable areas and determining the potential yield of agricultural crops. As part of the work, selected areas of Dolní Heršpice, which are located on the outskirts of the city of Brno and belong to one of its urban areas of Brno – South, were elaborated in detail. The same work was carried out using statistical data provided by the Czech Statistical Office and the State Agricultural Intervention Fund, as well as digital raster and vector data, historical map images and land use plan data.This work has yielded interesting results on the area of built-up areas from 1824 to the present. There was an incerase in built-up areas by a total of 148.79 ha. 50.24% is now built up due to the area of Dolní Heršpice (312.60 ha). Furthermore, the yields of specified agricultural crops were calculated, when their production could reach about 41 000 tons and their subsequent possible could revenues something about 126.4 mil. Czech crowns.Thanks to this work, it was found, that the most occupied area it consists of the soils with best quality from the Czech Republic. In the final parts of the results of the work, there is also a possible proposal for solving the situation of land grabbing in less production areas.
