Abstract:
Tato práce se zabývá spojitostí mezi tím, jak je vnímán tzv. „akcent“ (dále jen přízvuk), a rozhodnutím daného člověka o volbě v referendu o členství v Evropské unii. Jejím cílem je také zkoumat rozdíly vnímání odlišných přízvuků (britských a australského) mezi rodilými mluvčími a českými respondenty mluvícími anglicky a navíc sleduje míru projevu tzv. loajality přízvuků u rodilých mluvčích. The aim of this thesis is to examine the connection between perception of a person’s accent and his or her voting choice in the Brexit referendum, as well as to observe the differences in the perception of native English accents (British and Australian) by native and non-native speakers of English.
