Functional fitness of patients with ankylosing spondylitis

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce je zaměřena na funkční zdatnost pacientů s morbus Bechtěrev. Práce se konkrétně zabývá vlivem onemocnění na rovnováhu a na balanční schopnosti. Pro zhodnocení tohoto vlivu bylo využito funkčních testů Berg Balance Scale a Functional Gait Assessment. Dále byl pro posouzení funkční zdatnosti pacientů využit Bath Ankylosing Spondylitis Functional Index, který byl testován společně ještě s Bath Ankylosing Spondylitis Disease Activity Index a Bath Ankylosing Spondylitis Metrology Index. Zpracováním a vyhodnocením všech dat získaných během testování, jsme došli k závěru, že pacienti s morbus Bechtěrev nejeví žádné známky zhoršené rovnováhy v porovnání s probandy bez této diagnózy.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis is focused on the functional fitness of patients with ankylosing spondylitis. The thesis specifically deals with the impact of the disease on balance. Berg Balance Scale and Functional Gait Assessment were used to evaluate this impact. Bath Ankylosing Spondylitis Functional Index was used to assess the functional fitness of patients. Furthermore, for testing we also used Bath Ankylosing Spondylitis Disease Activity Index and Bath Ankylosing Spondylitis Metrology Index. By processing and evaluating all data obtained during testing, we conclude that patients with ankylosing spondylitis do not show any signs of deteriorated balance compared to probands without this diagnosis.
