Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá rolí umění na přelomu 19. a 20. století pohledem dvou známých ženských osobností této doby, a to Renáty Tyršové a Zdenky Braunerové. Soustřeďuje se na literárně-kritický odkaz v jejich umělecké tvorbě, dále na roli lidového umění a jeho vlivu na udržení národních tradic a v závěru popisuje jejich zájem o české umělce, které dlouhodobě podporovaly, aby se staly uznávanými pro svoje kvality.

Abstract:

The graduation thesis is discussing the role of art at the turn of nineteenth and twentieth century in the eyes of two famous Czech personalities of that time, namely of Renata Tyrsova and Zdenka Braunerova. It especially focuses on the literary-critical legacy of their artistic creations, further on the role of folk art and its influence on the maintaining national traditions and finally describes their interest in Czech artists who they were persistently supporting all the way long to help them to become recognised for their qualities.
