Cultural diplomacy in terms of influence on exports of Czech cultural goods

Abstract:

Cílem této bakalářské práce je navržení úprav postupů kulturní diplomacie České republiky za účelem efektivnějšího kulturního exportu. V úvodu se tato práce věnuje prozkoumání teoretických pojmů, které se s kulturní diplomacií a jejím fungováním úzce pojí. V druhé části se zabývá analýzou klíčových institucí České republiky na poli kulturní diplomacie a jejich propojením s mezinárodními institucemi. Ve třetí části pak práce analyzuje kulturní diplomacii pěti vybraných států, jimiž jsou USA, Čína, Jižní Korea, Francie a Polsko. Zaměřuje se na jejich klíčové instituce a pak na vybrané, pro kulturní export důležité, části jejich kulturní diplomacie. Ve čtvrté části pak tato práce bere nejlepší příklady z činností kulturních diplomacií vybraných států ve vztahu k podpoře kulturního exportu, a vytváří možné alternativní postupy využitelné v praxi české kulturní diplomacie pro podporu exportu kulturních statků.

Abstract:

The aim of this bachelor's thesis is to propose modifications to the cultural diplomacy procedures of the Czech Republic in order to make export of cultural goods more efficient. In the introduction, this work is devoted to exploring theoretical concepts that are closely related to cultural diplomacy and its functioning. In the second part, it deals with the analysis of key institutions of the Czech Republic in the field of cultural diplomacy and their connections with international institutions. In the third part, the thesis analyzes the cultural diplomacy of the five selected countries, the USA, China, South Korea, France and Poland. This part focuses on their key institutions and then on selected parts of their cultural diplomacy important to export of cultural goods. In the fourth part, this work takes the best examples from the activities of cultural diplomacy of selected countries related to the support of cultural exports, and creates possible alternative procedures usable in the practice of Czech cultural diplomacy to support the export of Czech cultural goods.
