The perception and potential of sustainable tourism products on the Czech market

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá problematikou udržitelného cestovního ruchu a jeho současným vývojem. Hlavním cílem práce je zkoumání vnímání produktů udržitelného cestovního ruchu českými turisty a následné vyhodnocení potenciálu trhu s udržitelnými formami cestovního ruchu v České republice. Pro tuto analýzu je v práci využito kvantitativní metody dotazníkového šetření. V prvních kapitolách práce jsou vymezeny hlavní důvody pro vznik a nátlak na rozvoj tohoto odvětví. Následně jsou zde charakterizovány hlavní úskalí, kterým dnešní udržitelný cestovní ruch čelí. Součástí této práce je také vymezení jednotlivých forem udržitelného cestovního ruchu a definování hlavních pojmů, které s tímto fenoménem úzce souvisí. V práci je využitím komparativní analýzy nadále porovnán potenciál pro udržitelný cestovní ruch v destinacích Rakousko a Česká republika. K srovnání těchto dvou trhů slouží několik faktorů, pomocí kterých je zhodnocena kvalita vybavenosti destinací cestovního ruchu, infrastruktury a destinačního managementu, jenž jsou zásadní pro rozvoj udržitelného cestovního ruchu v těchto zemích.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with the issue of sustainable tourism and its current development. The main objective of the thesis is to investigate the perception of sustainable tourism products by Czech tourists and to evaluate the potential of this market. For this analysis, the thesis uses a quantitative method of questionnaire survey. The first chapters of the thesis aim to define the evolution of this sector is important. Subsequently, the main issues sustainable tourism is facing today are characterized. The different forms of sustainable tourism are explained in the thesis, as well as the definition of the main terms closely related to this topic. Furthermore, the potential for sustainable tourism in the destinations Austria and the Czech Republic is compared using comparative analysis. The quality of tourism destination facilities, infrastructure and destination management are several factors which are used to assess the further development of sustainable tourism in these countries.
