Development of Epigeic Fauna on the Area Disturbed by Wildfire in the District Forest Bzenec (Forest Management Strážnice)

Abstract:

Cílem práce bylo posoudit změny v epigeické fauně střevlíkovitých (Carabidae, Coleoptera) v lesních porostech s odstupem 5 let po lesním požáru (V/2012) v lokalitě revíru Bzenec (LHC Strážnice) s vyhořelou plochou 165 ha. V roce 2013 byly založeny trvalé výzkumné plochy v borových porostech s diferencovaným stupněm poškození požárem a paralelně v porostech požárem neovlivněných a věkově odpovídajících. Výzkumné plochy tvoří 10 stanovišť borových porostů Pinus sylvestris, stanovištní podmínky ve dvou opakováních a jedno stanoviště v porostu dubu červeného Quercus rubra. K sběru epigeické fauny bylo využito formalinových zemních pastí. Odchyceno bylo 3019 jedinců zastoupených v 58 druzích. Požářiště (2017) zaujímalo oproti kontrolním lokalitám termofilní druh Harpalus rufipalpis preferující změněné lokality. Calathus erratus eudominantně osídluje narušené dubové tyčkoviny a dominantně narušené borové tyčkoviny a kmenoviny. Pseudophoonus pubescens se zaměřuje na poškozenou tyčkovinu a spolu s Pterostichus quadrifoveolatus eudominuje poškozené kmenovině. V kontrolních lokalitách se vyskytuje silvikolní druh Carabus violaceus. Vyspělé kontrolní kmenoviny vyhledává Amara lunicollis. Zástin kontrolních tyčkovin preferuje Pterostichus oblongopunctatus. Rozdíl mezi rokem 2013 a 2017 je u druhů Carabus violaceus a Pterostichus quadrifoveolatus, kteří na otevřených lokalitách ustupují. Narušené lokality osídluje Harpalus rufipalpis a Calathus erratus.

Abstract:

The aim of this work is to assess changes in the epigeic fauna of ground beetles (Carabidae, Coleoptera) in forest stands five years after the wildfire (V/2012) in the Bzenec district under the forest administration Strážnice which took place in 165 hectares. In 2013, permanent research plots were established in pine stands with differentiated degree of fire damage and in parallel in stands not affected by fire and corresponding to age. The research plots consist of 10 Pinus sylvestris stands, with recording of two similiar habitat conditions and one stand in Quercus rubra. Pit fall traps were used for collecting surface-dwelling assemblages. Total of 3019 individuals represented in 58 species were cought. Compared to control localities (2017) changes concerned species such as Harpalus rufipalpis that prefers changed areas without overshadow. Calathus erratus as eudominant species inhabits disturbed young oak stand and dominantly disturbed mature pine stands. Pseudophoonus pubescens focuses on the damaged deciduous pine stands with Pterostichus quadrifoveolatus. In control sites dominates forest species such as Carabus violaceus. Mature control stands prefers Amara lunicollis. Twilight of young control stands is prefered by Pterostichus oblongopunctatus. The difference between 2013 is in the species Carabus violaceus and Pterostichus quadrifoveolatus, they recede in open habitats. Harpalus rufipalpis and Calathus erratus colonize open sites.
