Surface treatment of wooden cribs

Abstract:

Předmětem této bakalářské práce je kvalita povrchové úpravy dětských dřevěných postýlek. Hlavním cílem práce je analýza transparentních nátěrových hmot používaných pro dokončování dětských dřevěných postýlek. V literární části práce byly analyzovány současné trendy ve výrobě dětských postýlek. Na základě tohoto průzkumu byly vybrány dva podkladové materiály a to, buková a borová spárovka. Dále byly zvoleny následující nátěrové hmoty, a to vodou ředitelná polyuretanová nátěrová hmota, vodou ředitelná akrylátová nátěrová hmota a nitrocelulózová nátěrová hmota. Výše uvedené nátěrové hmoty byly na zkušební vzorky nanášeny ručním způsobem a to štětcem. Dokončené zkušební vzorky byly následně podrobeny různým testům, které měly ověřit fyzikálně-mechanické a chemické odolnosti dokončených povrchů. Na zkušebních vzorcích byly hodnoceny nejen vzhledové vlastnosti ale i další kvalitativní znaky, jako je přilnavost nátěrového filmu na podkladu, odolnost vůči mechanickému poškození a také emisní zatížení zvolených nátěrových systémů. Zkoušky, které byly provedeny na zkušebních vzorcích, se řídily příslušnými technickými normami a v rámci těchto norem přizpůsobeny předpokládanému namáhání dětské postýlky.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with the quality of surface treatment of wooden cribs. The purpose of this thesis is an analysis of transparent coating materials that are used to finish wooden cribs. Current trends in the production of cribs were analysed in the literal part of the work. Beech and pine jointwood were chosen as base materials based on the survey. Furthermore, following coating materials were selected. Polyurethane coating material, water-based acrylate coating material and nitrocellulose coating material. Those coating materials were applied on the test samples manually by brush. Finished samples were put through series of tests to verify physically-mechanical and chemical durability of the finished surfaces. The trial samples were rated not only according their visual features but also according to other qualitative attributes such as adhesion of the coating film on the base material, durability against mechanical damage and emission burden of chosen coating systems. Trials that were performed on test samples followed proper technical norms and were adjusted to presumed stress of child’s crib accordingly.
