International labor migration in the Czech Republic after the EU accession

Abstract:

Cílem práce je provedení analýzy a zhodnocení jednotlivých problematik týkajících se mezinárodní migrace pracovních sil v České republice po vstupu ČR do Evropské Unie. Ty jsou založeny na zjištěních vycházejících z údajů Českého statistického úřadu, Ministerstva vnitra ČR, Ministerstva práce a sociálních věcí ČR a dalších institucí zabývajících se touto problematikou. Podrobnější analýza této problematiky vede k závěru, že český trh práce, stejně jako trhy práce jiných zemí, je poznamenán odchodem kvalifikovaných pracovních sil. Tento deficit je poté potřeba dorovnat příchodem kvalifikovaných pracovních sil ze zahraničí. Příchod zahraniční pracovní síly je také důležitý pro budoucí demografický vývoj počtu obyvatel, který by měl pozitivně ovlivnit. Za tímto účelem je nezbytná aktivní migrační politika státu a její neustálé zdokonalovaní. A právě to je oblast, ve které ČR již doznala určitých úspěchů, ale je to také oblast, na kterou je potřeba se i nadále zaměřovat a zlepšovat se v ní.

Abstract:

The objective of this diploma thesis is to analyze and evaluate situation on the Czech labor market in relation with international labor migration in the Czech Republic after the EU accession. The situation on the Czech labor market is demonstrated on the data of the Statistical Office, the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs of the Czech Republic and other institutions engaged in this issue. Closer analyze of this issue leads to the conclusion that the Czech labor market, as well as other foreign labor markets, is affected by the emigration of qualified labor. It is then necessary to make up this deficit of labor by immigration of qualified labor from abroad. This immigration of labor is essential for positive oncoming population demographic development too. That is the reason why it is necessary for the Czech Republic to actively use and work on further improvement of active migration politics. That is an area where the Czech Republic has already accounted various accomplishments. However it remains to be a key area on which the Czech Republic should remain focused and in which should constantly improve.
