Třebíč as a part of UNESCO in the didactic application for primary and secondary schools

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá historií třebíčských památek UNESCO, která je spojená s vzájemným soužitím křesťanského a židovského obyvatelstva. Cílem práce je detailně představit židovskou čtvrť se hřbitovem a baziliku sv. Prokopa se zámkem jako jedinečný soubor památek s mimořádně univerzální hodnotou dalece přesahující národní hranice a ukázat možné využití těchto objektů v didaktické aplikaci. Jádro práce začíná historií soužití Židů a křesťanů v Podklášteří, které dostalo Třebíč na Seznam UNESCO. Tato kapitola je psána pohledem židovské menšiny od samotného počátku jejich přítomnosti v Třebíči. Příběh vzájemného soužití dnes připomínají zmíněné objekty, jejichž historie tvoří nejobsáhlejší část práce. Teoretická část je zakončena statistikou návštěvností těchto objektů z posledních deseti let. V praktické části se věnuji tomu, jak lze s třebíčskými památkami UNESCO pracovat didakticky v hodinách dějepisu. Součástí práce jsou metodické listy a didaktické materiály pro žáky ZŠ i SŠ.

Abstract:

The topic of this graduate thesis is the history of UNESCO monuments in Trebic that are connected to the relationship between Jewish and Christian inhabitance. The main goal is to represent the Jewish district in detail with its cemetery and basilica of saint Prokop as a unique collection of national heritage which influence goes beyond the borders of Czech Republic. The core of the work begins with the history of Jews and Christians in Podklášteří, which has gotten Trebic to the UNESCO list. This chapter is written from the point of view of the Jewish minority from the start of their inhabitance of Trebic. The story of mutual living is being reminded by the two objects mentioned and their history takes the majority in this work. Theoretic part ends with the statistics of the number of visitors of these subjects in last ten years. In the practical part of the work I elaborate on concrete usage of monuments in Trebic in history lessons. Didactic materials such as methodic lists for elementary and high schools are also included in the work.
