Abstract:

Diplomová práce je zaměřena na interní audit a benchmarking. Funkce i úloha obou činností je popsána jak teoreticky, tak i na praktickém příkladu. Práce se v teoretické části zabývá detailním prozkoumáním činnosti interního auditu, jaké úkoly řeší a celkovým profilem interního auditora. Cílem praktické části je zachytit průběh auditu v Sociálních službách města Kroměříže a uplatnit tak získané teoretické znalosti o interním auditu. Druhou části vybraného tématu je benchmarking, který ve světě patří mezi nejpoužívanější manažerské nástroje. V práci je řešena problematika benchmarkingu, od jeho vzniku až po současnost, jak u nás, tak i ve světě. Cílem je definovat proč benchmarking není v České republice využíván tak, jak je tomu již ve světě a identifikovat tím jeho hlavní bariéry. V závěrečné části práce je celkové zhodnocení současného stavu a vyhodnocení stanovených cílů.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis focuses on internal auditing and benchmarking. Both function and purpose of these two procedures are described from theoretical, as well as practical standpoint. The theoretical part of the thesis provides a detailed analysis of the procedures of an internal audit, the tasks it deals with and a general profile of an internal auditor. The aim of the practical part of the thesis is to capture the audit process in the Social Services of the City of Kroměříž, and thus apply the acquired knowledge about internal auditing to practice. The second part of the selected topic is benchmarking, which ranks among the most widely used management tools in the world. The thesis discusses the issues of benchmarking, since the point of its establishment until the present, both home and abroad. The aim of the paper is to define the reasons why benchmarking is exploited less than in the Czech Republic than in the rest of the world, and thus identify its main barriers. The final part of the thesis deals with overall evaluation of the current situation and interpretation of the established targets.
