Včela medonosná je považována za předního opylovače na Zemi. V posledních letech se vyskytují diskuze o vlivu chemikálií na život včel. S chemikáliemi přijde včela do styku jak ve volné přírodě, jelikož zemědělci používají mnoho druhů pesticidů na ochranu své úrody, tak i v samotném úlu, kde včelaři aplikují akaricidy proti kleštíkovi včelímu. Apis mellifera is considered the leading pollinator on Earth. In recent years, there has been discussion of the impact of chemicals on bee life. Chemicals come into contact with bees, as farmers use many types of pesticides to protect their crops, as well as in the beehive, where beekeepers apply acaricides against a bee parasite varroa destructor.
