Supporting young artists via creative incubators

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se věnuje tématu podpory mladých začínajících umělců prostřednictvím kreativních inkubátorů. Zkoumá, jaké možnosti pro tuto skupinu existují v České republice a jakými způsoby lze jejich tvorbu rozvíjet a vytvářet příležitosti k její prezentaci a zveřejnění. Práce se zaměřuje na činnost a funkci především kreativních inkubátorů, dále se věnuje činnosti podobných organizací jako jsou kreativní huby, kreativní centra a rezidence. V teoretické části práce vysvětluje pojem kreativita, charakterizuje kreativní průmysly a jejich fungování a vysvětluje jejich význam. Soustředí se také na začínající umělce, významu jejich tvorby a budoucí uplatnění. Praktická část analyzuje formy a možnosti podpory začínajících umělců poskytovanou v rámci jednotlivých druhů organizací a jejich činnost, a mapuje výskyt kreativních inkubátorů a podobným organizacím v České republice. Tuto problematiku přibližuje prostřednictvím případových studií inkubátorů a dalších organizací, a rozhovorů s vedoucími jednotlivých kreativních organizací.

Abstract:

This bachelor’s thesis is dedicated to phenomenon of creative incubators as a tool to support young artists to start their career. It analyses possibilities to support young artists creative projects.The theoretical part of this thesis is focused on creativity, creative industries and their purpose. It also characterizes the role of young artists, meaning of their work and their future employment.The aim of practical part of this thesis is to identify the function, options of support and concentration of creative incubators and analogous organisations like creative hubs, creative centres, creative studios in the Czech Republic. To show how creative incubators work and what kind of support do they offer to young artists, detailed studies and interviews with creative incubators directors.
