Theatre Actress Vlasta Fialová (1928–1998) (The Story of a Total Acting)

Abstract:

Disertační práce popisuje osobnost, komplexní jevištní tvorbu a podoby divadelního herectví přední české umělkyně Vlasty Fialové (1928–1998), která byla bezpochyby jednou z nejvýznamnějších hereckých osobností brněnského divadelního života druhé poloviny minulého století, ale taktéž špičkovou rozhlasovou a filmovou herečkou v celém českém kontextu. Deskripce životní a umělecké dráhy je doplněna analýzami jejích nejdůležitějších výkonů. Analyzováno je sedm největších úloh Fialové v inscenacích Kavkazský křídový kruh (1961), Totální kuropění (1991), Matka Kuráž a její děti (1964), Komedie o umučení (1965), Play Strindberg (1969), Vytetovaná růže (1970) a Stromy umírají vstoje (1993).

Abstract:

This thesis describes the personality, complex theatre stage creations, and live theatre acting of a preeminent Czech artist, Vlasta Fialová (1928–1998). Vlasta Fialová was without a doubt one of the most significant actresses in Brno in the second half of the 20th century; however, in addition to her theatrical accomplishments, she was also the best radio and film actress whose influence went much further than Brno to include all of the Czech Republic. The objective of this thesis is not only to describe an outstanding actress’ life and acting career, but also to analyze her acting and her most important acting performances. This thesis analyses her seven most important roles in the following productions: Kavkazský křídový kruh (1961), Totální kuropění (1962), Matka Kuráž a její děti (1964), Komedie o umučení (1965), Play Strindberg (1969), Vytetovaná růže (1970) a Stromy umírají vstoje (1993).
