Medical rehabilitation program and process in treatment of Parkinson’s disease

Abstract:

Tématem této bakalářské práce je Parkinsonova nemoc. Práce je rozdělena do tří kapitol – obecná část, speciální část a kazuistika. Parkinsonova choroba je degenerativní onemocnění centrální nervové soustavy, které vzniká v důsledku úbytku velkého množství dopaminergních neuronů v bazálních gangliích. Charakteristickými příznaky onemocnění jsou třes, rigidita, hypokineze a posturální poruchy. Jelikož se jedná o chronicko-progresivní onemocnění, je při jeho léčbě nutný multidisciplinární přístup, který zahrnuje nejen symptomatickou farmakoterapii, ale i komprehenzivní rehabilitaci.

Abstract:

The theme of this bachelor’s work is Parkinson’s disease. The work is divided into three chapters – general part, special part, and case studies. Parkinson's disease is a degenerative disorder of the central nervous system which is caused by loss of large amounts of dopaminergic neurons in the basal ganglia. Characteristic symptoms of the disease are tremor, rigidity, hypokinesia and postural disorders. Treatment of this chronic progressive disease requires a multidisciplinary approach, involving not only symptomatic pharmacotherapy, but also the rehabilitation.
