Tato diplomová práce se zabývá životním prostředím v proměnách času kdysi nejprůmyslovější oblasti Rakousko-Uherska se zacílením na město Orlová. Mapuje nejen vývoj hlubinné těžby a následné rekultivace, ale také pomocí případové studie zkoumá názory a vztahy, které k místnímu prostředí, především pak ke staré Orlové a nejbližšímu okolí, chovají orlovští senioři a pracující lidé. This thesis is focused on changing environment throughout history with emphasis on Orlová, the town located in the most industrial region in the former Austro-Hungarian Empire. It examines not only the development of the deep mining, but also following reclamation.
