Impact of the Pandemic Covid-19 on Single Parent Families

Abstract:

Tématem bakalářské práce je vliv pandemie Covid-19 na rodiny s jedním rodičem. Zabývá se dopadem této pandemie na rodiny, které jsou právě v tomto období jednou z nejohroženějších skupin. Práce je rozdělena na část teoretickou a empirickou. Teoretická část je zaměřena na neúplnou rodinu a její vznik, dále se zabývá oblastmi vzniku problémů v rodinách s jedním rodičem. Je zde také popsán vliv pandemie na tyto rodiny. Zaměřuje se také na služby sociální pomoci. Empirická část se zabývá následujícími oblastmi problémů: bydlením a jeho udržením, zaměstnáním a zajištěním příjmu, vzděláváním a materiálním zabezpečením, psychickou i fyzickou vyčerpaností a zdravím. Cílem bakalářské práce je zjistit, jaký vliv měla pandemie Covid-19 na rodiny s jedním rodičem a na jaké oblasti jejich života měla dopad. Proběhl kvantitativní výzkum formou dotazníkového šetření. Provedeným výzkumem bylo zjištěno, že samotní rodiče řešili problémy v oblasti bydlení, financí, chyběly jim kontakty s blízkými a vnímali dopady pandemie na psychiku i zdraví. Vzdělávání dětí bylo pro samotné rodiče náročné. Díky pandemii Covid-19 byly rodiny s jedním rodičem znevýhodněny. Vnímaly zhoršení situace ve všech oblastech života.

Abstract:

The subject of the bachelor thesis is the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on single-parent families. It deals with the impact of this pandemic on families, which are one of the most vulnerable groups in this period. The work is divided into a theoretical and an empirical part. The theoretical part is focused on the incomplete family and its formation, it also deals with the areas of problems in single-parent families. The impact of the pandemic on these families is also described here. It also focuses on social assistance services. The empirical part deals with the following areas of problems: housing and its maintenance, employment and ensuring income, education and material security, mental and physical exhaustion and health. The aim of the bachelor's thesis is to find out what effect the Covid-19 pandemic had on single-parent families and what areas of their lives it had an impact on. Quantitative research was conducted in the form of a questionnaire survey. Through the conducted research, it was found that the parents themselves solved problems in the area of housing and finances, they lacked contact with loved ones and perceived the effects of the pandemic on their psyche and health. Raising children was difficult for the parents themselves. The Covid-19 pandemic has put single-parent families at a disadvantage. They perceived the deterioration of the situation in all areas of life.
