Teenage drug users and the sources of support and barriers having a part during their drug treatment in Switzerland

Abstract:

Diplomová práce definuje mladistvého uživatele drog a jeho zdroje podpory nebo bariéry hrající roli při jeho léčbě v programu pro závislé mladistvé uživatele ve Švýcarsku. Diplomová práce charakterizuje problém z pohledu mladistvých uživatelů. Diplomová práce popisuje rezidenční a ambulantní programy pro léčbu závislosti na nelegálních látkách pro mladistvé (13 – 25 let) uživatele a zabývá se jejich přístupy k léčbě. Diplomová práce rovněž vymezuje cíle léčby a rozdíly mezi ambulantními a rezidenčními programy. Dle odborné literatury jsou v práci definovány také zdroje bariér a podpory, které mladistvým ztěžují léčbu, nebo je v ní naopak podporují. V rámci metodologické části se tyto obecně známé zdroje podpory a bariér pomocí rozhovorů s respondenty snažím pochopit a vyvodit z nich závěr a doporučení pro pracovníky v těchto zařízeních a jiné pomáhající pracovníky. Cílem diplomové práce je tedy zjištění zdrojů podpory a bariér mladistvých uživatelů v léčbě drogové závislosti při absolvování rezidenčního, nebo ambulantního programu, z pohledu mladistvých uživatelů.

Abstract:

The thesis defines a teenage drug user and his sources of support or barriers, which play a part during his healing program for addicts in Switzerland. This thesis characterizes an issue from a perspective of teenage users. The thesis describes residential and ambulatory programs for an addiction treatment on ilegal substance for teenage users (13-25), and has been dealing with theirs attitude to the therapy. Also, the thesis defines goals of therapy and differences between ambulatory and residential programs. By the proffesional literature, in this thesis are also defined the sources of barriers and supports which cause the treatment more difficulty or on contrary easier. Within the methodological part, I try to understand these well known sources of support and barriers through to interviews with respondents and draw conclusions and recommendations for professionals, who work with teenage users of illegal drugs ,and other helping professionals. The goal of the thesis is to identify sources of support and barriers of teenage users in the drug treatment during the completion of the residential or ambulatory program, from the perspective of teenage users.
