Abstract:

Cílem této bakalářské práce je identifikovat důvody vzestupu a pádu Britské unie fašistů. Tohoto bylo dosaženo za pomoci analýzy primárních a sekundárních zdrojů, které byly analyzovány jako samostatný zdroj, nebo porovnávány s ostatními, z důvodu dosažení přesných informací. Výsledky naznačují, že důvodem vzestupu Britské unie fašistů je nestabilní ekonomická a politická situace této doby, ale také charismatický vůdce, vliv médií, propaganda, a také jejich politika ohledně žen. Jejich pád je pak zapříčiněn tím, že si lidé začali spojovat tuto stranu s násilím, přišli o podporu medií a jejich podobnosti k ostatním fašistickým režimům v Evropě v době druhé světové války.

Abstract:

The aim of this thesis is to identify the reasons for the rise and fall of the British Union of Fascists. This will be achieved by analysing primary and secondary sources available. Sources were analysed on their own, but also, if possible, compared to other sources to ensure the accuracy of the information provided. The results suggest that the reason for the rise of the British Union of Fascist were the economic and political struggles of that time, but also charismatic leader, help from media, use of propaganda, but also their policies concerning women. The movement's association with violence, loss of the support of the media, and their similarity to other fascist regimes at the time of the second World War was then the cause for their fall.
