Abstract:
The thesis focuses on the analysis of three novels by a contemporary British writer Jane Gardam that might be considered as the representatives of a genre known as the Bildungsroman, particularly the female Bilgungsroman. The work defines the genre and explores how its features manifest in Gardam’s novels.
