Abstract:

The subject of this bachelor thesis is the first wave of the feminist movement in the United States of America. The goal is to map its origins, the reasons behind it, its aims and achievements. The writing deals with the evolution of the movement from its early beginnings until the right to vote for women in the United States was won. The thesis also studies the challenges women faced in their efforts to gain more rights and describes what actions they undertook to overcome these difficulties.

Abstract:

Předmětem této bakalářské práce je první vlna feministického hnutí ve Spojených státech amerických. Cílem je zmapovat jeho původ, důvody, které k němu vedly, jeho záměry a úspěchy. Tato práce pojednává o vývoji feministického hnutí od jeho samotného počátku až po dobu, kdy ženy ve Spojených státech dosáhly volebního práva. Dále se tato bakalářská práce zamýšlí nad překážkami, kterým ženy ve svém úsilí čelily, a popisuje jejich aktivity, kterými tyto obtíže překonávaly.
