The bachelor thesis investigates the relationships among macroeconomic variables and unemployment rate in European state during the years 2000-2015. The results showed that the main macroeconomic variables having impact on unemployment rate are in both new and old European Union membership states the same. Bakalárska práca sa venuje vzťahu medzi makroekonomickými veličinami a mierou nezamestnanosti v európskych štátoch medzi rokmi 2000-2015. Ukázalo sa, že hlavné makroekonomické premenné ovplyvňujúce mieru nezamestnanosti v starých a nových členských krajinách EU sa nelíšia.
