Specific aspects of the financial and economic crises in Ireland

Abstract:

In my bachelor thesis I deal with a role of the Irish government in economic development of Ireland from 1987 to the present situation. The aim of my thesis is to present the steps of the government in 1987, which contributed to economic growth in the 1990s, its subsequent actions, which deepened the economic downturn, and also applied solutions to the crisis. The work is divided into two chapters. The first chapter focuses on the development of the Irish economy from the 1980s to 2007, also on the so-called economic miracle, and it is consistently divided into two parts, which describe the two different phases of Irish economic growth. The second chapter analyses the actual course of the Irish crisis and particularly the measures, which were taken by the government in order to solve it.
