This master thesis aims to make a contrastive comparison between the German original of Stefan Zweig´s works "Amok", "Confusion of Feelings" and "A Chess Story" and their Czech translations based on the emotions in the language. Tato diplomová práce se zabývá srovnáním dvou českých překladů tří novel "Amok", "Zmatení citů" a "Šachová novela" od rakouského spisovatele Stefana Zweiga. První překlady všech třech novel zhotovili Luba Pellarová a Rudolf Pellar, Jaroslava Vobrubová-Koutecká, Rudolf Vápeník a pochází z roku 1979, druhé překlady, kterými se tato práce zabývá, přeložila Jana Zoubková v roce 2016.
