This paper attempts to psychoanalytically study the mind of the protagonist Eddie Carbone in A View from the Bridge and analyse the vital role of the main themes, Eros and Thanatos. Besides, the research aims to compare the characteristics of protagonists psychologically to the principles of Freud’s theories.
