Ecotoxicological biotests on embryolarval stages of aquatic organisms - questions of the considerate handling of the model organisms
Abstract:
Funkce ekotoxikologických biotestů in vivo je i přes současné trendy, směřující spíše k in vitro a in silico testování, stále nenahraditelná. Důležitou podmínkou pro aplikaci testů in vivo v moderní ekotoxikologické praxi je dodržení pravidel maximálně šetrného zacházení s modelovými organismy (vhodné podmínky chovu, šetrná manipulace, omezení či úplné vyloučení bolestivých podnětů během experimentu …moreAbstract:
Even though the current trends in ecotoxicology tends to the use of in vitro and in silico testing, in vivo assays are still irreplaceable. However, it is important to apply the rules of maximally considerate handling of the model organisms (aproppriate breeding conditions, considerate treatment, restriction or absolute elimination of painful stimuli while performing the experiment by means of considerate …more
