Carl Orff's Schulwerk. Schulwerk possibilities to fulfil the demands of RVPG in music education at higher and quadrennial common grammar schools in the Czech Republic

Abstract:

Diplomová práce otevírá problematiku Schulwerku ve spojitosti s hudební výchovou na české škole, respektive na českém čtyřletém a vyšším víceletém všeobecném gymnáziu (dále jen Gymnáziu). Podobu hodin hudební výchovy na Gymnáziu převážnou měrou určuje dokument RVPG. Cílem práce je vyhodnotit, zda zařazení myšlenek Orffova Schulwerku do hodin hudební výchovy na Gymnáziu odpovídá požadavkům na tento předmět uvedeným v dokumentu RVPG, z čehož lze následně usuzovat, zda je možné Schulwerk do hodin hudební výchovy integrovat. Po vymezení pojmů „hudební výchova na Gymnáziu“ a „Schulwerk“, jejich následné konfrontaci a zjištění skutečnosti, že RVPG není v této věci pro Schulwerk překážkou, se práce zaměřuje na Schulwerk ve spojitosti se školní praxí. Podává informace o situaci a podobě Schulwerku v českých školách, o možnostech Schulwerku dostát v hodinách hudební výchovy požadavků RVPG a o aktivitách České Orffovy společnosti. V závěru práce obsažená modelová hodina hudební výchovy ilustruje způsob praktického zařazení myšlenek a principů Schulwerku do vyučování.

Abstract:

The master thesis concerns the Schulwerk and its connection to music education in Czech schools, specifically at quadrennial and longer lasting grammar schools (Grammar schools). The current form of the music education lessons at the Grammar schools is chiefly influenced by the RVPG document. The goal of the thesis is to evaluate, whether an implementation of the Orff Schulwerk’s ideas into the education complies with the requirements of the RVPG document, which can be taken as a base for a deduction of Schulwerk’s integration into the music education lessons. After a definition of the terms “musical education at a Grammar school” and “Schulwerk”, their mutual confrontation, and findings that the Schulwerk does not violate the RVPG, the author concerns with Schulwerk in schooling practice. The thesis presents information on the situation and form of Schulwerk in Czech schools, capabilities of Schulwerk to fulfill the RVPG’s requirements in the music education classes, and on the activities of the Czech Orff Society. A model music education lesson at the end of the thesis demonstrates a specific form of practical inclusion of the Schulwerk ideas and principles into the education.
