Development of Public Administration in the territory annexed to Germany in 1938

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá vývojem veřejné správy na připojeném území k Německu. Předkládaná práce si klade za cíl provést analýzu vývoje veřejné správy v Říšské župě Sudety. Území sudetské župy tvořilo geograficky nesourodé území táhnoucí se od západních Čech přes severní Čechy až po severní Moravu a Slezsko. Na tomto území se německým mocipánům v čele s Adolfem Hitlerem naskytla možnost vystavět na „zelené louce“ úplně novou vzorovou župu (tzv. Mustergau), která měla být vzorem pro přestavbu celé německé říše. Práce se také zaměřuje na bezprostřední vývoj událostí před podepsáním mnichovské dohody. Dále popisuje úlohu mezinárodního výboru v Berlíně, kde se sváděli diplomatické boje o každý kousek zabíraného území. Zmiňuje se o příchodu wehrmachtu a činnosti vojenské správy. Podrobně popisuje ustavení sudetské župy a organizaci její správy. Následně je rozebrána organizace politické strany NSDAP. Zachycena je i hospodářská přestavba.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis looks into the development of Public Administration in the territory annexed to Germany. The aim of this bachelor thesis is to analyze the development of Public Administration in Reich Discrict of Sudetenland. The territory of Sudeten Discrict was made of geographically heterogeneous area, which was placed in western Bohemia, across nothern Bohemia to nothern Moravia and Silesia. For Adolf Hitler and the other leaders had arisen the opportunity to build a brand new model discrict (The Mustergau) in a „greenfield“, which should be an example for rebuilding the whole German Empire. This thesis also focuses on what happened immediately before the Munich Pact was signed. Then it describes the role of the International Committee in Berlin, where the diplomatic battles for every piece of occupied territory was fought. There is also the arrival of Wehrmacht and the activities of military administration mentioned. It describes in detail the establishment of Sudeten Discrict and the organization of its administration. Afterwards there is an analysis of the NSDAP organization. There is also the Economic reconstruction mentioned.
